Last Friday, the non-profit organisation Omega 90 invited all its sponsors to an event in the Auditorium at Banque de Luxembourg. The highlight of the evening, which was organised to thank donors for their support, was a concert by Gast Waltzing, David Laborier & Friends. It served as a reminder of the foundation’s outstanding work in the field of palliative care.

Omega 90 has several aims: to promote better palliative care and bereavement support; to raise public awareness of the issues surrounding final illness, death and bereavement; and to provide counselling and support to the seriously or terminally ill, those close to them and the bereaved. The charity’s activities include running a palliative care centre in Luxembourg-Hamm: Haus Omega. The facility provides palliative care training for healthcare professionals as well as training and supervision for volunteers accompanying terminally ill patients.
